An agreement has been signed for the integration of the terrorist organization PKK’s Syrian offshoot YPG/SDF into state institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Translation of the agreement

According to the agreement signed on March 10, 2025, the terms include:

  • Equal political representation: Guaranteeing the rights of all Syrians in representation, participation in the political process, and all state institutions based on competence, regardless of their religious or ethnic background
  • Recognition of the Kurdish community: Recognizing the Kurdish community as an integral part of the Syrian state and ensuring its full citizenship rights and all constitutional rights.
  • Nationwide ceasefire: A complete ceasefire across all Syrian territories.
  • Integration of institutions in northeast Syria: Integrating all civil and military institutions in northeastern Syria under the administration of the Syrian state, including border crossings, airports, and oil and gas fields.
  • Safe return of refugees: Ensuring the return of all displaced Syrians to their towns and villages, with guarantees for their safety from the Syrian state.
  • Combating Assad regime remnants: Supporting the Syrian state in its fight against Assad’s militias and all threats to its security and unity.
  • Rejecting division and hate speech: Rejecting calls for division, hate speech, and attempts to incite strife among all components of Syrian society.
  • Implementation timeline: The executive committees shall work and strive to implement the agreement no later than the end of the current year.

The agreement was signed by Ferhat Abdi Sahin, one of the ringleaders of the YPG/PKK terrorist group and the so-called commander of the SDF and Ahmed al-Sharaa, the Interim President of Syria.

Abdi, code-named Mazlum Kobani, also known as Mazloum Abdi is a wanted terrorist group figure by Türkiye.

Qatar welcomes agreement to integrate terrorist group YPG-led SDF into institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic. It was announced by Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a social media post on X.

According to the reports, a convoy of the Syrian Defense Ministry will go on Tuesday to al-Hasakah to implement the deal, as all facilities currently controlled by terrorist group YPG-led SDF will be ultimately under Damascus’ control – from prisons, airports to the strategic oil and gas fields.
