A TRT Haber team vehicle was severely damaged in a kamikaze drone attack carried out by the PKK/YPG terrorist group in Syria.

The team, including reporter Bulent Culcuoglu, cameraman Fatih Senel and transportation personnel Yusuf Serin, escaped with minor injuries.

Kamikaze drone attack hits TRT vehicle in Manbij, Syria

While covering developments in the region, the TRT Haber team was targeted by a bomb-laden kamikaze drone launched by the PKK/YPG. The attack caused significant damage to the team’s vehicle, leaving one individual with a minor leg injury.

Culcuoglu, a TRT Haber correspondent who was on-site, described the incident: “It came like a bird; I immediately lay down and avoided shrapnel fragments.”

Despite the damage to their vehicle, the TRT Haber team confirmed that all members were in good health. The individual with a minor leg injury received treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
