Pakistan reaffirms support for Turkish Cyprus as President Tatar thanks Pakistani community

President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, thanked Pakistanis living in his country for their contributions to the economy and trade on Wednesday.
He stated, “Pakistan is a country that continuously supports the TRNC.”
Tatar hosted a delegation led by Navaz Muhammad, head of the Pakistan Unity and Culture Association, along with the association’s board members at the TRNC Presidential Office.
What did Tatar say?
Tatar emphasized the strong relationship between the Turkish Cypriot and Pakistani people, highlighting the importance of communication between the two nations. He praised Pakistani workers for their significant contributions across various sectors in the TRNC.
He also referenced a statement by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to Pakistan
Pakistan fully supports the Northern Cyprus cause and stands firmly with Türkiye.

Tatar added, “Pakistan is an important friend and brotherly country for both our motherland Türkiye and the TRNC,” stressing the cultural and historical ties that strengthen the relationship.
What did the Pakistani side say?
Muhammad briefed Tatar on the association’s work since its establishment in 2020. He emphasized their efforts to unite Pakistanis in the TRNC and represent their culture.
Muhammad also expressed his satisfaction with President Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan.
