Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a significant 50-minute phone conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden as preparations for potential military action against Iran intensify.

Israeli Prime Minister’s Office posted a photo on its X account, stating that Netanyahu spoke on the phone with Biden and his team.

While the specifics of their discussion remain undisclosed, Israeli media suggest the conversation primarily revolved around Israel’s response to Iran’s missile threats and ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

This call marks the first dialogue between Netanyahu and Biden in nearly two months amid reports of growing tension between the two leaders.

Unnamed officials cited by Israeli media outlet Walla News indicated that Israel’s anticipated retaliation could be “significant,” possibly involving airstrikes on military targets in Iran and a series of targeted assassinations.

Additionally, Netanyahu’s directive to Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to postpone his planned one-day visit to the U.S. until after discussing matters with Biden has led to reports that Gallant’s trip has been delayed indefinitely due to these conditions.
