Israel’s PM Netanyahu deliberately stalling Gaza cease-fire agreement

Izzat al-Rishq, a leader of a Palestinian resistance group, has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of intentionally obstructing the Gaza cease-fire agreement.
In a statement on his Telegram page, Rishq responded to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office’s claim that Palestinian resistance groups are obstructing the agreement in Gaza. Al-Rishq said, “The one delaying, evading, and placing obstacles in the way of the agreement is Netanyahu himself.” He emphasized that mediators are well aware of the positive and flexible stance shown by the Palestinian resistance.
Rishq highlighted that Palestinian resistance groups have paved the way for reaching an agreement, stating, “Palestinian resistance fighters have overcome Israel’s obstacles. They welcome the cease-fire, the withdrawal of the occupying army from the Gaza Strip, and the prisoner exchange, which were mentioned in President Joe Biden’s address and the United Nations Security Council resolution, while Netanyahu rejected them.”
Refuting Netanyahu’s claim that he accepted the proposal submitted by the resistance groups with amendments, Rishq said, “The whole world knows that Israel introduced additional conditions and demands not included in its own proposal.” He underscored that Netanyahu has not responded to the proposals brought by mediators in all negotiation rounds, and the recent events in Rome confirm this.
Two days ago, the Israeli Walla news site reported that Israel had presented a new proposal to the U.S. regarding the agreement, with Netanyahu specifically demanding a monitoring mechanism to prevent the transfer of weapons from the south to the north of the Gaza Strip.
