Israel’s attack on Iran is imminent, claims Israeli media
“Tel Aviv is on verge of attacking Iran despite U.S. pressure to soften the blow,” claims Israeli state television KAN.
Israel’s state television channel, KAN, has claimed that Tel Aviv is preparing to attack Iran, “despite pressure from the U.S. to soften the assault.”
The report, based on comments from unnamed Israeli officials, stated, “Israel is witnessing one of the most tense and complex periods in its history as it prepares for a potential strike on Iran.” It added that “Israel is on the verge of launching an attack on Iran,” while “the U.S. is focusing on Israel’s planned attack and is exerting pressure to ease the operation.”
During a visit to a military base, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant addressed Israel’s possible strike on Iran, saying, “After we attack Iran, everyone will understand what you have done in terms of preparation and training.”
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel yesterday as part of his Middle East tour, following the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in an Israeli attack on Rafah in southern Gaza. After visiting Israel, Blinken traveled to Saudi Arabia.
On October 1, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel, and Tel Aviv had previously vowed to retaliate against Tehran for this attack.
A report on Israel’s Channel 13 suggested that the U.S. had asked Tel Aviv to “soften” its planned strike on Iran. However, no official statement has been made by the Israeli government regarding this claim.
Meanwhile, Blinken, in a statement made today in Tel Aviv, urged that Israel’s response to Iran should “not escalate tensions.”
