An Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in the Lebanese city of Sidon on Monday morning killed a senior Hamas figure, Mohammed Shaheen.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that Shaheen, the head of Hamas’s operations in Lebanon, was involved in planning attacks against Israeli civilians, reportedly with the support of Iranian funding.

According to the IDF, Shaheen played a significant role in advancing various attacks during the conflict, including rocket fire targeting Israeli territory.

Lebanese security sources have also corroborated the information, confirming that a senior Hamas official was killed in the strike.
