Israeli army reports targeting over 150 Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that they have destroyed more than 150 Hezbollah infrastructures during their ongoing ground operation inside southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, these targets include Hezbollah headquarters, weapons storage facilities and rocket launchers.
Israeli army seizes weapons
In an update, the IDF stated that forces from its Commando Brigade, Paratrooper Brigade, and Armored Brigade, operating under the command of Division 98, have been carrying out “focused ground operations” across multiple areas in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military also said that their forces, including aircraft and fighter jets, are utilizing airstrikes and engaging in close-range encounters with Hezbollah.
“So far, over 150 terror infrastructures have been destroyed, including Hezbollah command centers, weapons depots and rocket-launching positions,” the IDF said in its update.
Israel’s ground operation in south Lebanon ongoing
The IDF released images showing military personnel allegedly on the ground in southern Lebanon.
They also displayed weapons they claim were seized from Hezbollah during the campaign, though the exact time and location of the seizures were not provided.
According to the IDF, elite forces, including Egoz Unit commandos, uncovered and destroyed a Hezbollah combat compound that housed rocket launchers, explosive devices, and other military equipment.
Brigadier General Guy Levy, Commander of Division 98, is reportedly leading operations in southern Lebanon.
