Israeli Apache helicopter fails to stop Lebanese drone near Netanyahu’s residence
Footage has emerged showing an Israeli Apache helicopter unable to locate and intercept a Lebanese drone over Akko. The drone continued its course, reportedly reaching Caesarea, where it struck near the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Israeli military reported that three drones entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon, with two intercepted and destroyed. However, one drone hit a structure in Caesarea, and no injuries were reported.
During the incident, alarms were triggered at the Glilot base, a joint facility for Israeli intelligence service Mossad and military cyber intelligence located near Herzliya, close to Tel Aviv. The Israeli army stated there was no possibility of another drone infiltrating the area.
The Israeli police confirmed that they deployed heavily in Caesarea after the drone’s impact on a building and conducted searches for potential explosive remnants. Numerous units were also dispatched around Netanyahu’s residence, and access roads to the area were reportedly closed.
Social media footage shows security barriers and guard posts set up around Netanyahu’s residence, with emergency services and police gathering nearby. Another video circulating online captures the drone flying past a helicopter in the area, coinciding with the activation of attack alarms.
Israeli PM office confirmed that a drone was launched toward Netanyahu’s residence in central Israel.
Following the attack, Prime Minister Netanyahu released a video in which he stated, “Nothing will deter us,” highlighting that he will continue the war in the region.
