Israeli airstrikes in northern Gaza kill 88, including children
Israeli airstrikes on northern Gaza have killed at least 88 Palestinians and injured over 100 others, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
One of the strikes targeted residential areas near Kemal Adwan Hospital in the Mashru Beit Lahia region. Initial reports indicate that 66 people, including many children, were killed, while more than 100 were injured. Eyewitnesses reported that numerous individuals remain trapped under the rubble.
With civil defense services rendered inoperable by ongoing attacks, local residents are conducting rescue efforts using bare hands and basic tools. Hospital staff have joined these efforts, but the ability to treat the injured is severely limited. Reports indicate that Israel is restricting the entry of additional medical teams, further exacerbating the crisis.
Israel bombs residential building in separate strike
In a separate attack, Israeli warplanes bombed a six-story residential building belonging to the Aruki family in Gaza’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. The strike killed 22 people, including 10 children and five women, according to medical sources.
Rescue teams are continuing efforts to reach individuals still trapped beneath the debris.
These attacks highlight the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where civilian casualties are rising, medical aid is restricted, and airstrikes persist. Calls for an immediate cease-fire to prevent further loss of life continue to grow globally.
