Israeli airstrikes in Beirut kill 5 children
Israeli military airstrikes targeted southern Beirut, resulting in multiple casualties, including the deaths of five children.
The strikes were reportedly in retaliation for Hezbollah’s response to Israeli cyberattacks on Lebanon. Israeli state television reported that around 150 Katyusha rockets were fired by Hezbollah.
Reports claim that an F-35 aircraft targeted a residential area in southern Beirut during the attacks. While Israeli state television indicated that 150 rockets were fired at Israel in seven separate assaults, they stated that there were no reported casualties on their side.
Hezbollah issued a statement regarding the clashes at the Israel-Lebanon border, announcing that two of its members had been killed.
Additionally, Lebanon’s official news agency reported that five of the victims of Israel’s strikes in southern Beirut were children.
