Israeli airstrike claims lives of 3 Palestinian journalists in Gaza shool attack

Three Palestinian journalists were killed during an Israeli military strike on the Asmaa School in the Shati camp in northern Gaza.
The attack, which occurred while the school was sheltering displaced civilians, resulted in a total of 9 civilian fatalities, including the journalists.
180 journalists killed since Oct. 7
The Media Office of the Gaza government identified the deceased journalists as Saed Radwan, Hamza Abu Salmiya, and Al-Hanin Mahmoud Baroud.
Since the onset of Israeli assaults on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the death toll of journalists has risen to 180.
In a statement condemning the attack, the Gaza government urged the international community and organizations to hold Israel accountable for its actions in international courts and to pressure it to cease the genocide and killings of Palestinian journalists.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the three journalists were killed during an airstrike by Israeli warplanes targeting the Asmaa School, which is operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The Gaza government asserted that Israel is deliberately targeting journalists to “silence the voices of Palestinians, conceal the truth, and prevent news and information from reaching regional and international public opinion.”
