‘Israel should consider other alternatives than striking oil fields,’ Biden says
U.S. President Joe Biden said on Friday that Israel has not yet decided how to respond to Iran’s recent ballistic missile attack.
“The Israelis have not concluded what they’re going to do in terms of the strike. That’s under discussion,” Biden told reporters at the White House.
If I were in their shoes, I’d be thinking about other alternatives than striking oil fields.

Biden emphasized that the U.S. is in “constant contact” with Israel. “They’re not going to make a decision immediately, and so we’re going to wait to see what they want to talk about,” he said.
Earlier this week, Iran launched missiles into Israel in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
Israel continues its air and ground assaults in Lebanon while conducting strikes in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that Iran would “pay” for the attacks.
