Israel prepares for new massacre: Jenin camp surrounded
The Israeli army conducted a raid on Jenin city, located in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, and besieged Jenin Refugee Camp. Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces searched Palestinian homes and workplaces during the operation.
During the raid, Israeli soldiers detained at least one Palestinian individual. Clashes ensued between the soldiers and local residents, with Palestinians throwing stones in response to the raid and detentions. Israeli forces reportedly used live bullets against the stone-throwing Palestinians.
Sources in the health field told Anadolu Agency correspondent that at least one Palestinian was injured and hospitalized for treatment.
Bulldozers belonging to the Israeli army damaged the streets around Jenin refugee camp. The Israeli army sent reinforcements around the camp and besieged the camp.
In the first hours of the day, the Israeli army raided many cities in the occupied West Bank and detained many Palestinians.
No official statement has yet been made regarding the detentions.
Since Oct. 7, 2023, when Israel launched an attack on the Gaza Strip, there has been an increase in detentions, raids and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 543 Palestinians have lost their lives in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since Oct. 7, 2023, in attacks by Israeli soldiers and Israelis who usurped Palestinian lands.
