The head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Hossein Salami issued a stern warning to Israel, asserting that Israel is “digging its own grave” with its ongoing actions in the region.

This statement comes in the wake of the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

Warning to Israel and accusations of terrorism

Speaking to journalists during the Day of the Journalists event, Salami emphasized that Israel will face repercussions for its actions. “When they receive a blow, they will notice they are making mistakes. They are making mistakes all the time,” Salami said.

They will see the result of their mistake. They will see when, how, and where they will get their response.

Salami did not hold back in his criticism of Israel, alleging it to be “the cradle of terrorism,” and accusing Israel of being founded on violence and murder.

He also addressed the long-standing suspicions surrounding an Israeli assassination program targeting Iranian nuclear scientists amid concerns over Iran’s nuclear program.

“They think they can kill the nuclear scientists of another country and impede that country’s path toward peaceful nuclear technology,” Salami said.

They think that by killing the leader of a resistance group… in another country will give them more time to live.

In a final remark, Salami reiterated his warning: “They are just digging their own grave.”
