According to Israeli media outlet Haaretz, the Israeli government has requested an “emergency meeting” in response to the recent explosions in Lebanon.
Senior security officials have been called to meet with government representatives to address the situation.
The meeting in Tel Aviv aims to discuss the escalating tensions resulting from Israel’s actions in Lebanon and potential retaliation by Hezbollah.
On the other hand, according to Israel’s Channel 14, Israeli military officials are bracing for a potential third Hezbollah war, which is expected to begin imminently.
Military activity in southern Lebanon, schools suspended
In addition, Israel’s official television channel KAN reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have conferred with senior security officials at an Israeli military center in Tel Aviv.
