Israel has been on alert for nearly two weeks, anticipating an attack from Iran in response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

According to a report by Israel’s state television KAN, Israel is preparing for a broader Iranian attack than the one in April when Iran launched an assault involving hundreds of drones and missiles.

The report highlighted Israel’s current assessment, noting that despite recent indications that Iran might be pulling back under political pressure, Tehran appears determined to initiate an attack.

The report also referenced comments from Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who stated, “The enemy, Iran and Hezbollah, are threatening to harm us in ways they haven’t in the past. We have significant capabilities. I hope a war doesn’t break out on other fronts.”

On July 31, Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran. Both Iran and Hamas have blamed Israel for the attack, with Tehran vowing to retaliate against the Tel Aviv government.
