Hezbollah attacks Israeli military base with kamikaze drones
Hezbollah has announced a kamikaze drone attack on an Israeli military base near Acre, approximately 20 kilometers south of the Lebanese border. This attack has led to multiple casualties and has further heightened the already high tensions in the region.
Hezbollah’s response and claims
Hezbollah’s kamikaze drones targeted Israeli military positions in the Western Galilee area, specifically between Acre and Nahariyya. Despite Israel’s Air Defense Array failing to intercept the drones, several impact sites with rising smoke were reported in Northwestern Israel.
Before the attack, drone infiltration sirens were heard in the northern region of Israel.
The attack resulted in five Israeli soldiers being wounded, with one in critical condition. Hezbollah stated that this drone strike is part of their normal activities and not a direct response to recent events.
Many believe that this was a retaliatory strike against senior Radwan Force commanders who were killed by Israel. Additionally, four Hezbollah fighters were killed today in an Israeli airstrike on a command center in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah is expected to speak later according to the local journalists in the region.
