Haniye assassination: Iran’s negligence and double standards allegations
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was attending the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Mesoud Pezeshkian, was killed in an assassination in Tehran. The failure of Iran to protect a leader they were hosting has become a topic of debate.
As discussions about Haniyeh’s death continue, a scandalous piece of information has emerged. Allegedly, Iranian officials advised Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was expected to attend the ceremony, not to come to Tehran, citing their inability to ensure his safety.
Following this allegation, questions arose about why the same procedure was not applied to the Hamas leader.
Social media users suggest that Iran had received a warning about a possible assassination in Tehran and had warned its proxy group leader, Nasrallah, but failed to protect the Hamas leader, indicating negligence in Haniyeh’s death.
