Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh to be laid to rest in Qatar following Tehran funeral
Palestinian resistance group Hamas has announced that the body of its Political Bureau Chief, Ismail Haniyeh, will be transported to Qatar following a funeral ceremony in the Iranian capital Tehran.
Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran in an alleged Israeli strike.
The funeral in Tehran is set for Aug.1 (tomorrow), after which Haniyeh’s body will be transferred to Doha.
Following Friday prayers, a memorial service will be held on Aug. 2 at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdulwahhab Mosque in Doha.
The event is expected to draw numerous officials from Arab and Muslim countries.
The Hamas leader will be laid to rest in Doha.
