Despite ongoing efforts towards normalization with Türkiye, Greece is evaluating the purchase of Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM) from the U.S. for its rocket artillery, according to Kathimerini’s report. This decision is part of Greece’s review of all tactical ballistic missile options, including PrSMs, in light of its diplomatic engagements with Türkiye.

The news highlights Greece’s interest in upgrading its military capabilities, including the potential acquisition of advanced missile systems, even as diplomatic relations with neighboring Turkiye show signs of improvement.

Kathimerini also notes that a Greek military delegation will visit the U.S. to observe live firing exercises of the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), focusing on PrSM’s operational capabilities and compatibility with Greece’s defense strategy.

This development underscores the complex dynamics in the region, where military modernization efforts intersect with diplomatic initiatives aimed at fostering stability and cooperation among neighboring countries.
