France warns against travel to Iran amid military tensions

In a significant escalation of travel advisories, the French Foreign Ministry has formally advised its citizens against traveling to Iran. This move comes amid growing concerns over the risk of military conflict in the region.
‘Leave as soon as possible’
The French government has urged its nationals currently in Iran to leave the country as soon as possible.
“As a reminder, the entire Iranian territory is marked in red on the travel advisory map. It is therefore strongly advised that French nationals do not travel to Iran for any reason,” the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
“Due to the increased risk of military escalation in the region, French visitors still in Iran are urged to leave as soon as possible,” it added.
The advisory is part of a broader response to increasing instability in the Middle East.
