Concerns over anti-Azerbaijan rhetoric
During the meeting, Azerbaijani authorities conveyed their dissatisfaction with the perceived anti-Azerbaijan propaganda in Iran.
They emphasized that such rhetoric contradicts the spirit of bilateral relations and undermines the objectives agreed upon by both nations. Meryan was urged to ensure that such provocations cease, with Azerbaijani officials stating the importance of maintaining diplomatic respect and fostering positive bilateral relations.
Additionally, dissatisfaction was conveyed regarding the recent deliberate incitement of anti-Azerbaijani sentiment among the population in Iran.
It was emphasized that anti-Azerbaijani propaganda in Iran does not align with the spirit of bilateral relations or the objectives and responsibilities set by both countries. It was noted that such actions aim to create hatred and hostility instead of preserving and deepening interstate and interpersonal relations.
It was demanded that such provocations against our country be brought to an end.
