An autopsy report released Saturday confirmed that Aysenur Ezgi Eygi – a Turkish-American activist – was killed by a sniper’s bullet to the head, according to Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas.

Eygi, 26, was participating in a protest against illegal Israeli settlements in Beita, West Bank when she was shot by Israeli forces on Friday.

The autopsy results revealed that Eygi’s death was caused by a gunshot wound specifically targeting her head. She was transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
