Aisha al-Dibs appointed head of Women’s Affairs Office, Syria’s interim administration
Aisha al-Dibs has been appointed head of the Women’s Affairs Office in Syria‘s interim administration, which was established after the fall of the Baath regime, the Political Affairs Department said in a statement.
Dibs has become the first female high-level official selected in the new administration.
Dibs, who previously worked in the field of humanitarian aid, describes herself on her social media account as “an activist focused on the development of women and humanitarian work.”
