Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, addressed the ongoing conflict in Gaza, expressing gratitude for the support from regional resistance fronts.

He emphasized the significant contributions of forces from Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, stating that these groups have engaged the enemy, inflicting substantial losses.

“We are addressing you from Gaza, which is impenetrable to the invaders,” Obeida said. “One year has passed since the most professional commando operation in history, in which we dealt a major preemptive blow to the enemy, shaking the enemy and changing the face of the region.”

Regional support amidst conflict

Obeida praised the regional efforts supporting the resistance in Gaza, calling them “admirable and great in the eyes of our people.” He expressed confidence in Hezbollah‘s ability to deal significant blows to the enemy, stating, “Today we say to our brothers in Hezbollah that we trust in your power and strength to inflict heavy losses on the enemy.”

We call for the launch of the largest Arab, Islamic and international campaign in support of the Palestinian people. We are calling for the biggest cyber attack on the enemy from electronic warfare experts.

We call on the scholars of the Ummah to move beyond the stage of verbal condemnation and ask them: Are you waiting for the news that Al-Aqsa Mosque will be demolished? O Muslims, everyone has a duty now.

Obeida also acknowledged the efforts of the Support Front in Yemen, commending the popular movement. “We congratulate the efforts of the Support Front in Yemen and commend the popular movement,” he said. He emphasized the importance of these regional movements in standing with the Palestinian cause.

“Around Palestine, the burning fronts are fighting alongside our people, supporting them, fighting the enemy directly and inflicting heavy losses on them,” Obeida added.

Resilience of the Palestinian people

Obeida highlighted the resilience of the Palestinian people, who have continued their resistance despite regional and international challenges. “Our people resisted with legendary determination despite the betrayal of their neighbors, the cowardice and complicity of the regimes, and the oppression and aggression of the enemy,” he added.

In a broader geopolitical context, he accused Israel of isolation on the global stage, stating, “The Zionist entity lives as an outcast from all nations and free peoples of the earth.”

Reflecting on the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation

Marking the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, Obeida claimed that the Islamic Republic of Iran had fulfilled its promises, maintaining pressure on the enemy. “One Year After the Start of the Al-Aqsa Flood, the Islamic Republic of Iran Attacks with the Promise of Honesty to Keep the Enemy Living in Fear,” he explained.

He also mentioned that the Al-Qassam Brigades carried out a preemptive strike in response to what he described as an impending Israeli offensive. “We hit the enemy with a major preemptive strike after the enemy reached the final stages of planning a major offensive against the resistance in Gaza,” he said.

From day one we were keen to protect and preserve our prisoners. We are telling the public that if the occupation had been in line with Netanyahu’s ambitions, you could have freed your prisoners a year ago. What happened to the six prisoners in Rafah could happen again with others as long as Netanyahu and his terrorist government remain stubborn.

We have been instructed that if prisoners are in danger or exposed to imminent fighting, they should be transferred to safer locations.

The risks to Israeli prisoners are increasing day by day.

Continuing the fight

One year after the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood War, Obeida reported that the resistance had inflicted significant damage on the Israeli military. “We killed and wounded thousands of enemy soldiers and destroyed hundreds of military vehicles,” he claimed.

Obeida reaffirmed the group’s commitment to a long and drawn-out conflict, stating, “Our option is to continue a long and painful war of attrition with the enemy, and the wars have proven the success of this option. The arrogant enemy does not understand the lessons of history, the realities of reality, or the culture of our people and nation.”

He also dismissed the notion that targeted assassinations could put an end to the resistance, citing the martyrdom of senior leaders Ismail Haniyeh and Hassan Nasrallah. “If assassinations were a victory, resistance against the occupation would end,” he added.

“The recent Jaffa operation is only a part of what is to come, and what is to come is more severe, God willing.”
