A drone attack by Hezbollah in northern Israel injured at least 67 people, with four in critical condition. The assault targeted a training camp for the Golani Brigade in Binyamina, south of Haifa.

Meanwhile, Israel says 4 soldiers killed in Hezbollah drone strike on military base.
“Yesterday, a UAV launched by the Hezbollah terrorist organisation hit an army base adjacent to Binyamina,” the Israeli military said in a statement.
“Four IDF (army) soldiers were killed in the incident and an additional seven were severely injured,” the statement added.
Israeli Army Radio reported that the attack resulted in a significant number of casualties, including injuries from explosions in the Binyamina area. Residents of Haifa and surrounding settlements reported hearing explosions without any prior sirens activated.
The drone targeted the Binyamina area near Qaysariya, south of Haifa. The Israeli army attributed the attack to a drone launched from Lebanon, highlighting deficiencies in their detection capabilities.
In response to the incident, the Israeli army has launched an investigation into the failure to activate sirens as the drone entered northern Israel. Hezbollah confirmed the use of a swarm of attack drones in the operation.
This attack occurs amid an escalation in conflict, with Israel conducting massive airstrikes across Lebanon targeting alleged Hezbollah sites since September 23, resulting in at least 1,437 deaths and over 4,123 injuries. The ongoing aerial campaign follows a year of heightened tensions and cross-border warfare, exacerbated by Israel’s military operations in Gaza, which have reportedly claimed more than 42,200 lives, predominantly women and children.
Despite international concerns about a potential regional war, Israel has expanded its military actions, including an incursion into southern Lebanon on October 1.
