The Turkish Ministry of Defense Sunday announced that 15 PKK/YPG terrorists were eliminated in northern Syria.

The operations took place in the Euphrates Shield, Peace Spring and Manbij also known as Menbic regions as part of Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorist threats.

In a social media post, the Ministry reiterated its stance on combating terrorism, stating, “We continue to bury PKK/YPG terrorists in their trenches in northern Syria.”

The message emphasized the determination of the Turkish military to continue its operations in the region.

“Our operations will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized,” the statement read.

Ongoing counterterror operations

According to the ministry’s statement, the Turkish Armed Forces targeted the terrorists in the areas where they had been identified.

The ministry emphasized that the operations will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated, reaffirming Türkiye’s commitment to securing its borders and eliminating terrorist activity in the region.
