Türkiye’s weather update: No rain, rising temperatures nationwide

Türkiye woke up to clear skies and rising temperatures on Friday, with no rainfall expected across the country, according to the latest forecast by the Turkish State Meteorological Service (TSMS).

Temperatures are set to climb nationwide, reaching above seasonal averages in the western provinces, while remaining closer to the norm in eastern parts. Winds will blow mostly from the north, ranging from light to moderate strength.

Morning fog and patchy clouds in northern and eastern regions

While most regions are forecast to remain sunny or only slightly cloudy, the north and east may experience some fog or mist, especially during the early morning and late evening hours. The weather is expected to remain dry across all regions.

Here is a regional breakdown of today’s forecast:

Marmara region

Partly to mostly clear skies are expected, with patchy clouds along the northern coastline. Fog and mist are likely in the morning and night.

  • Edirne: 24°C – Partly cloudy
  • Istanbul: 21°C – Partly cloudy, locally overcast along the northern shores
  • Kirklareli: 23°C – Partly cloudy, more clouds expected in coastal areas
  • Sakarya: 23°C – Partly cloudy
  • Bursa: 25°C – Partly cloudy

Aegean region

Clear and calm conditions will prevail across the region.

  • Afyonkarahisar: 24°C – Mostly clear
  • Denizli: 30°C – Mostly clear
  • Izmir: 27°C – Mostly clear
  • Mugla: 25°C – Mostly clear

Mediterranean region

Skies will remain clear and sunny, with some patchy clouds expected in the western part of the region.

  • Adana: 31°C – Clear
  • Antalya: 23°C – Partly cloudy
  • Burdur: 26°C – Partly cloudy
  • Hatay: 29°C – Clear

Central Anatolia

Calm and mild conditions are expected across the region.

  • Ankara: 25°C – Partly cloudy
  • Eskisehir: 27°C – Partly cloudy
  • Konya: 25°C – Partly cloudy
  • Nevsehir: 21°C – Partly cloudy

Western Black Sea

Partly cloudy skies will dominate, with more clouds along the coast. Fog and mist are possible in the early hours.

  • Bolu: 26°C – Partly cloudy
  • Karabuk: 28°C – Partly cloudy
  • Sinop: 14°C – Partly cloudy, overcast in coastal areas
  • Zonguldak: 16°C – Partly cloudy, more clouds near the coast

Central and Eastern Black Sea

Coastal areas may experience more clouds, while inland regions will remain clearer. Fog and mist are likely in the morning.

  • Amasya: 25°C – Partly cloudy
  • Rize: 14°C – Partly cloudy, more clouds expected on the coast
  • Samsun: 14°C – Partly cloudy, locally overcast near the shore
  • Trabzon: 13°C – Partly cloudy, especially cloudy along the coastline

Eastern Anatolia

Partly cloudy skies will prevail, with increased cloud cover expected in the northern parts during the afternoon.

  • Erzurum: 14°C – Partly cloudy, becoming more cloudy later in the day
  • Kars: 12°C – Partly cloudy with increasing cloudiness in the afternoon
  • Malatya: 23°C – Partly cloudy
  • Van: 11°C – Mostly cloudy

Southeastern Anatolia

Clear skies and warm temperatures define the forecast for the southeast.

  • Adiyaman: 23°C – Clear
  • Diyarbakir: 22°C – Clear
  • Gaziantep: 26°C – Clear
  • Mardin: 20°C – Clear

As Türkiye enjoys a dry and warmer-than-average spring day, residents are advised to be mindful of morning fog, especially in the north and east.
