Turning her back on medicine for a new path

According to TGRT, a news outlet based in Türkiye, Idil Bilgen has confirmed that she will not be pursuing a career in medicine. Instead, she is focusing entirely on her journey at Miss World.

Her decision has sparked both admiration and controversy, with public discourse questioning her shift from a respected medical profession to the world of beauty pageants.

Online criticism and speculation

Since winning the national title, Bilgen has faced criticism, particularly on social media. Some users alleged that her appearance had significantly changed since the Miss Türkiye competition, suggesting that she may have undergone cosmetic procedures or heavily edited her photos.

In response to the claims, Bilgen firmly denied having had any plastic surgery and continued to post new images on her social media platforms, showing confidence in her natural beauty.
