Continuous rain to impact 78 Turkish cities: Attention Istanbul, Ankara and Bursa

Heavy rain will affect much of the country over the next five days, according to the latest report released by Türkiye’s General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM). The rainfall will primarily impact cities like Istanbul and Ankara.
The weather forecast provided by MGM indicates that the entire country will experience partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions. In particular, the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, central Anatolia, Black Sea, as well as the northern and western parts of eastern and southeastern Anatolia, will be affected by heavy rain and sporadic thunderstorms.

The inland and higher regions of the Eastern Black Sea and the northeastern highlands of Eastern Anatolia are expected to see mixed rainfall of snow and rain.

No significant changes are anticipated in the temperatures, and it is expected that the weather will remain close to seasonal norms across the country.

Strong wind warning
A strong wind is expected to blow from the south and southwest (Lodos) at speeds of 40-60 kilometers per hour (km/h), particularly in the southeastern part of eastern Anatolia, starting in the morning. It is advised to remain cautious and take necessary precautions due to potential adverse effects from these winds.
With these weather patterns in place, residents of 78 cities should be prepared for ongoing rainfall and the possibility of stronger winds, particularly in the affected regions.
Authorities are recommending that the public stays updated on local weather reports to avoid any surprises during this extended rainy period.
