Yunus Emre Institute organizes concert on Women’s Day in Georgia
The band named ‘SAMIDA’ sang various Turkish and Georgian songs for the concert attendees
Yunus Emre Institute hosted a concert in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, on March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The audience swayed to Turkish and Georgian melodies as the band “SAMIDA” sang various Turkish and Georgian songs for the concert attendees.
The word “SAMIDA” means three sisters in Georgian.
Kazim Kartal, the Undersecretary of the Embassy of Türkiye in Tbilisi, representatives of Turkish institutions in Georgia, Turkish and Georgian business owners and hundreds of guests attended the concert program held at Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University.
YEE Tbilisi Coordinator Can Guray thanked all the parties involved in putting up a great show.
Guray expressed his great pleasure in organizing a concert in Tbilisi that displays the fusion of Georgian and Turkish culture.
Noting that the concert was held to celebrate International Women’s Day, Guray congratulated all women in advance.
The concert night ended with spellbinding performances by band.
