Young Turkish artist Melisa Ozgur unveils her work in Kazakhstan
Rising Turkish geometric abstract artist Melisa Ozgur launches her first international exhibition in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.
The exhibition, titled “Kozmos,” was organized with the support of Türkiye’s Astana Embassy and Turkish Airlines (THY). It opened at the prestigious “LM Kulanshi Art” space in Astana, drawing a crowd of art enthusiasts from Kazakhstan, as well as ambassadors from various countries.
Türkiye’s Astana Ambassador, Mustafa Kapucu, attended the opening alongside figures from Kazakhstan’s vibrant art scene.

Melisa Ozgur, known for her unique geometric abstract style, presented 15 of her latest pieces in the “Kozmos” exhibition.
The works captivated visitors with their intricate designs and layers of symbolism.
Personal and symbolic journey for artist
Speaking to the press, Ozgur expressed her pride in showcasing her first international exhibition in a country deeply connected to her roots. She explained the symbolism in her work, highlighting the recurring motif of intertwined circles.
“I believe the colors and objects we embrace in life guide us with their energy. The intertwined circles in my art represent the roots of the tree of life,” she said.
