‘You Can Do a Little Something for Peace’ biennial to exhibit work of local, foreign artists
Ankara Music and Fine Arts University, Faculty of Art and Design will bring together different branches of art with the participation of domestic and international artists in the ‘You Can Do a Little Something for Peace: Hybrid Goodwill Performance Biennale’
“You Can Do a Little Something for Peace: Hybrid Goodwill Performance Biennale” begins as the event is set to unite artists from Türkiye and abroad in a collective call for peace. The event features a variety of artworks and performances that promote goodwill and dialogue.
According to information on the Ankara Music and Fine Arts University website, Professor Ruhi Konak, a Faculty Member of Art and Design, designed the event. It will be held under the auspices of Rector Professor Erhan Ozden, Honorary President of the Project, under the leadership of 180 coordinators, and with the participation of volunteer artists.
By drawing attention to the wars in the world, it aims to create a goodwill dialogue among international participants and make a collective call for the establishment of peace.
“You Can Do a Little Something for Peace: Hybrid Goodwill Performance Biennale” will be inaugurated at the university’s art gallery on Wednesday, April 17, at 2:00 p.m. local time.
Works of photography, painting, sculpture and other art forms will be displayed at the opening ceremony.
Following the opening, a workshop will be held on April 18 and a concert and congress will be held on April 24-25.
2,827 artifacts donated
Different artworks in plastic arts, visual arts, literature, music, performing arts, auditory arts, digital arts, handicrafts, architecture, and design will be exhibited and presented to the audience in the art galleries, website, and social media of Ankara Music and Fine Arts University.
The Biennial received 2,827 artwork donations from Mexico, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Italy, the U.K. and Russia, including Türkiye.
Seven participants and coordinators will receive the ” You Can Do a Little Something for Peace Goodwill Award” to recognize their collective efforts for peace.
