Turkish man sells only home, donates it all to Gaza

A Turkish citizen from the Anatolian city of Elazig has sold his only apartment and donated its proceeds to support the people of Gaza. In the face of the humanitarian crisis caused by Israel’s attacks on Gaza, philanthropists in Türkiye continue to offer their support.
One of the most meaningful examples of this support came from Osman Duzgun, a resident of the Kovancilar district of Elazig. Duzgun sold his apartment and donated the proceeds to be sent to the suffering people of Gaza.
Muhammet Kilinc, the Kovancilar representative of the Orphans Foundation charity receiving the donation, said, “The humanitarian crisis caused by Israel’s attacks on Gaza continues to inspire our compassionate brothers and sisters to take action. In this context, our brother Osman Duzgun, in his effort to support Gaza, has sold his only apartment in Kovancilar and entrusted the proceeds to our foundation. We express our gratitude to him for this meaningful donation.”

The situation in Gaza has been covered with much sensitivity in Türkiye, with many demonstrations showing support and solidarity for Palestinians while many continue to boycott products associated with Israel.
