“This concert is a step towards strengthening Turkish-Greek relations,” Erciyes said. “I hope to see more culture, arts and music cooperation between our countries.”
During the concert, Hacialioglu and Vasilopulos performed a diverse repertoire.
The audience enjoyed popular Turkish pieces such as “Sen gelmez oldun” (“You don’t come anymore”), “Kardesin duymaz” (“Your brother doesn’t hear”), “Fikrimin Ince Gulu” (“The delicate rose of my thoughts”), “Ah Istanbul,” and “Yigidim Aslanim” (“My brave lion”).
The program also included several Greek songs, creating a rich, cross-cultural musical experience.
