Actor Engin Altan Duzyatan is set to appear in the upcoming fantasy film “Tete and Fairytale: The Land of Dreams” (Tete ve Masal: Ruyalar Diyari).

The film, produced by Hande Ertas and Emrah Ertas under the banner of Satre Film Yapim, will premiere on January 24, 2025.

Magical journey featuring Viking king, diverse cast with several Turkish stars

Director Tumer Sirkecioglu leads the film, which tells the story of a young girl embarking on a magical journey to cope with her grandmother’s illness.

Engin Altan Duzyatan, who portrays a Viking king in “Tete and Fairytale: The Land of Dreams”, described the role as an enjoyable experience. “This role was incredibly enjoyable for me. Being part of such a fantastical world was an experience unlike any other,” he said.

The film’s story centers on a vibrant fantasy world with emotional depth. Duzyatan noted, “This magical story invites viewers into a colorful and emotional world that stretches the limits of imagination. It’s a film for children and those who haven’t forgotten their inner child.”

He also shared a personal motivation for participating: “I wanted to create a meaningful memory for my children. Seeing their father in a film like this will be truly special for them.”

‘Tete and Fairytale: The Land of Dreams’ has universal message

The cast includes Mert Turak, Ada Erma, Fahriye Evcen, Pelin Karahan, Keremcem, Can Kiziltug, Inci Turkay, Jess Molho, Cenan Adiguzel, Haldun Dormen, Meral Cetinkaya, and Altan Erkekli.

Duzyatan expressed appreciation for the teamwork, saying, “Everyone contributed to this project with genuine passion.”

The screenplay and project design were created by Emrah Ertas. The film blends vibrant fantasy elements with themes that resonate with a wide audience. It aims to appeal to children and adults alike, making it a family-friendly movie.

Who is Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan?

Born on July 26, 1979, in Karsiyaka, Izmir, Engin Altan Duzyatan graduated from Dokuz Eylul University’s Theatre Department in 1996. He began his acting career with roles in various television series and films.

Duzyatan gained international fame for his portrayal of Ertugrul Gazi in the historical drama “Dirilis Ertugrul”, which aired from 2014 to 2019. The series, spanning 150 episodes, brought him widespread recognition. His performance in “A Handful of Sea” (Bir Avuc Deniz) also earned him the “Best Actor Award” at the Los Angeles Movie Awards in 2012.

His recent work includes roles in “Barbaros: Sword of the Mediterranean” (Barbaroslar: Akdeniz’in Kilici) and “The Stickman” (Cop Adam). In his personal life, Duzyatan married Neslisah Alkoclar in 2014, and the couple has two children, Emir Aras and Alara.
