Troy Museum launches digital journal
The digital magazine ‘Troy Museum Journal,’ created by the Troy Museum management with approval from the General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums of Türkiye, has commenced its publication on the Dergi Park platform
The Troy Museum, located at the entrance of the ancient city of Troy in Tevfikiye village of Canakkale center, announced the launch of its digital journal called the “Troy Museum Journal”.
The digital journal, prepared by the museum management with the approval of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums and accessible from the DergiPark platform, includes content on museology, archaeology, history, art history, ethnography, sociology, geography, the history of literature, the history of philosophy, and cultural studies.
The journal’s aim is to publish and share with researchers articles, research review articles, compilation articles, etc., written in accordance with scientific research criteria and ethical rules.
Troy Museum Director Ridvan Golcuk told journalists that the first issue of the journal was published on March 18.
“Troy Museum Journal magazine is the first and only magazine published on behalf of a museum on the platform located in the DergiPark. This biannual publication will be published twice a year, with the second issue arriving in September. Currently, the journal is scanned and indexed in the TR database. We aim to expand it to international platforms in the future,” Golcuk said.
Golcuk expressed his confidence in the editorial team, stating their aim to produce even more successful works in the issues to come.
