Third ‘Top Gun’ movie in the works

Following the success of the last ‘Top Gun movie’, which grossed $1.5 billion worldwide, there have been swift indications of a continuation in the series.

“Top Gun,” which was first released in 1986 and directed by Tony Scott, saw a sequel with “Maverick” in 2022. Paramount Global has now given the green light for the third installment in the renowned action series featuring Tom Cruise. Script development is currently under way for the upcoming movie.

It was learned that Ehren Kruger, the screenwriter of the second movie, is currently writing a script for the new part of the series. In addition, Joseph Kosinski, who directed “Maverick”, is expected to return to the series to direct this new project.
