The American music company Sony Music purchases half of the catalog of famous singer Michael Jackson’s songs for about $600 million

13 Grammy Award winner Michael Jackson’s music catalog, which includes all his songs, is estimated to be worth more than $1.2 billion.

In comparison, the deal for half of the catalog purchased by Sony Music for about $600 million is the biggest deal for a solo artist so far.

The deal also includes songs by Ray Charles, Elvis Presley and Aretha Franklin, which the Mijac company owned by Jackson purchased.

Famous American rock artist Bruce Springsteen also sold all his albums and music rights for $500 million in 2021.
