Nominees for 2024 BAFTA Rising Star Award announced

This year’s EE BAFTA Rising Star Award nominees are Phoebe Dynevor, Ayo Edebiri, Jacob Elordi, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Sophie Wilde

The nominees for the prestigious Rising Star Award – which the EE British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has been handing out for 19 years – were announced by BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip at a press conference.

This year’s EE BAFTA Rising Star Award nominees are Phoebe Dynevor, Ayo Edebiri, Jacob Elordi, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Sophie Wilde.

The nominees were selected by an industry jury comprising actors Daisy Edgar-Jones, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù and Himesh Patel, as well as a number of renowned casting directors, producers and industry experts.

Celebrating its 19th anniversary, the EE BAFTA Film Awards are the only awards voted for by the British public and voting continues on BAFTA’s website until midday on Feb. 16, 2024.

The winners will be announced at the EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony on Feb. 18, 2024, Sunday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
