Artists showcase unique works at Art and Antique Fair

Among the artists participating in the fair is Sertap Yegin, who expressed the importance of these fairs in connecting artists with the public. Speaking to AA, Yegin noted that the fair is a significant platform for artists in Türkiye, allowing them to showcase their creations and engage directly with the audience. “We’re happy to be here,” Yegin said. “We consistently receive positive feedback from all the fairs we attend.”

Another featured artist, Emine Bayraktar, shared her enthusiasm for returning to IAAF Istanbul each year. Known for her pastel artworks, Bayraktar has brought oil paintings on larger canvases this time around, offering a fresh perspective on her work.

Inviting art lovers to attend, she remarked, “These fairs are crucial not only for artist-audience interactions but also for fostering connections among artists themselves.”

‘Excitement high among visitors and participants alike’

Mehmet Ali Ertek, a co-founder of Imza Art Gallery, highlighted the fair’s bustling atmosphere, with both new and established artists drawing significant attention. “The turnout is impressive, and we’re here with numerous artists as a gallery,” Ertek commented.

Delighted with the first day’s interest, he added, “There’s a palpable excitement among everyone here. We’ve introduced an artificial intelligence kiosk, providing visitors with a unique, innovative art experience.”

Panels, talks, and events set to illuminate art and culture

The fair also offers a series of discussions, panels, and sessions that aim to deepen visitors’ understanding of art, history, and collecting. Covering diverse topics, these events promise to enhance the fair experience by shining a light on the cultural and historical significance of collecting.

The IAAF Istanbul 5th Art and Antique Fair will be open until Nov. 17, welcoming art lovers, collectors, and cultural enthusiasts alike.
