Fuerza Bruta Wayra transforms Istanbul’s Volkswagen Arena with stunning 360-degree performance

The breathtaking performance Fuerza Bruta Wayra will captivate Istanbul audiences on Aug. 22-26 at Volkswagen Arena, Istanbul.

This extraordinary show combines technology and art in a 360-degree stage experience that blurs the lines between reality and illusion. With no spoken dialogue, this action-packed theater piece removes the distance between the audience and the stage, inviting spectators to become part of the show through dazzling visual effects. As part of Yapi Kredi’s 80th Anniversary “Feelin’ Good” events, Fuerza Bruta Wayra is brought to the stage by Piu Entertainment, known for introducing world-renowned performances to art lovers.

Ahead of the show, a press conference was held, featuring Stage Director Pablo Carpintero and performers Lucia Kern, Julia Astigueta, and Tomas Wurch, who shared insights into the production process.

Carpintero emphasized that the key element of Fuerza Bruta Wayra is its ability to engage the audience, allowing them to feel as if they are a part of the performance.

“Our goal is to create a 65-minute experience filled with joy, beauty, emotion, energy, and passion that feels completely real to the audience,” Carpintero said.

Julia Astigueta expressed her excitement about reuniting with Turkish audiences, noting that they fully immerse themselves in the show. Tomas Wurch highlighted the challenge of creating a performance that blends theater with the energy of a rave or rock concert, urging the audience to break free from their seats and embrace the intense, energetic experience. Lucia Kern added that Fuerza Bruta Wayra is all about bringing that joyful energy, and celebrating the connection between actors and the audience.

The 70-minute performance offers more than just a show – it’s a fully immersive experience. Audiences are invited onto the main stage, where they become part of the spectacle. From a man running at full speed on a giant treadmill to women dancing in a massive water pool suspended overhead, and performers suspended in the air, every moment is filled with awe-inspiring acrobatics, special effects, and music.
