The Turkish World and Folk Dances Ensemble of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism organize a concert titled ‘From Altai to Danube’ in Edirne, Türkiye

As part of the first International Balkan Symposium held at the Balkan Congress Center in collaboration with the Edirne Governorship Balkan Cities Cooperation Edirne Platform and Trakya University, a concert titled “From Altai to Danube” was organized.

This event, under the artistic direction of Cem Gurdal, aimed to enhance cooperation with Balkan countries and was established under the chairmanship of Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer to streamline efforts effectively and efficiently from a unified source.

The concert started with “Bilge Kagan’s advice”. Then, the ensemble sang melodies from Kazakhstan, Crimea, Azerbaijan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Gagauz, Thessaloniki, Monastir, and Prizren regions. The concert also included dance performances.

At the end of the concert, Deputy Foreign Minister Mehmet Kemal Bozay and Edirne Governor Sezer presented Gurdal with a snowy photograph of Edirne and flowers.

During his speech, Sezer said he was unable to express the emotions evoked by the concert, noting that it had marked a special and deeply meaningful day.

Stating that they held their first program as a platform today, Sezer said, “Our very valuable guests, painters, scientists, academicians and our distinguished statesmen from the Balkans honored us today. But the pinnacle of this endeavor was the concert where all the emotions from the Altai to the Danube, deeply felt within our souls, reached their zenith. I would like to thank all our artists for giving us this beautiful night.”
