Ewan McGregor hopes to return as Obi-Wan Kenobi
Ewan McGregor, who plays the character of Obi-Wan in the ‘Star Wars’ universe, revealed that he thinks he could be more involved
Scottish actor Ewan McGregor said he hopes to be involved in more projects as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and that his character could play a larger role in the “Star Wars” universe.
When asked about the possibility of another adventure as Obi-Wan in the “Star Wars” universe, McGregor told LADbible: “I don’t know. I haven’t gotten a call from Lucasfilm or Disney saying, ‘Let’s do another one. Obi-Wan was made as a limited series, it came out and people liked it, which I’m very, very pleased about. I’m sure we’ll do more. I still have a few years to go before I’m the same age as Alec Guinness was in ‘A New Hope’. So I have time to tell more stories here.”
McGregor, who starred in the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy from 1999-2005, reprised the role in the miniseries “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, which aired on Disney+ in 2022. The series aired about nine years after “Star Wars: A New Hope” takes place about nine years before “Star Wars: A New Hope.”
