Scorpions rock Istanbul in 40th-anniversary concert celebration

The iconic rock band Scorpions made a triumphant return to Istanbul, igniting the stage at KucukCiftlik Park on Friday as part of their tour commemorating the 40th anniversary of their seminal album, “Love at First Sting.”

After an eight-year hiatus from the Turkish city, Scorpions thrilled fans with a sold-out show, kicking off the evening with their timeless anthem, “Coming Home,” courtesy of the impeccable organization by Epifoni, support from Yuzdeyuz Muzik.

Lead vocalist Klaus Meine expressed the band’s delight at reuniting with Istanbul’s fervent audience, stating, “We are very happy to be here with you in Istanbul after so many years. Tonight, we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of our legendary album Love at First Sting together.”

Scorpions to perform second concert in Istanbul

Scorpions delivered a memorable performance, revisiting cherished tracks from the album that have defined their illustrious career. The crowd enthusiastically joined in for renditions of classics like “Send Me An Angel” and “Wind of Change,” creating an electrifying atmosphere within the venue’s capacity of 12,000 attendees.

As the night reached its crescendo, Scorpions concluded the spectacle with the perennial favorites “Still Loving You” and “Rock You Like A Hurricane,” eliciting thunderous applause from their adoring fans.

With overwhelming demand, Scorpions announced a second concert in Istanbul, promising another unforgettable evening of rock music on Saturday night.
