Female artists dominated the 66th annual Grammy Awards, which were handed out at a glittering ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday

At this year’s 66th Grammy Awards ceremony, female artists such as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus and Victoria Monet won major awards.

In 2024, the 66th annual Grammy Awards ceremony was dominated by women, with Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Phoebe Bridgers and Victoria Monet winning major awards.

Taylor Swift swept the Grammys with her fourth album of the year win, setting a record as the only artist to win the music industry’s biggest award multiple times in her career.

Swift won the honor on Sunday for her album “Midnights”, surpassing music icons Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder to win the most Grammys.

Billie Eilish, 22, won song of the year honoring songwriting for “What Was I Made For?”, written for the Barbie soundtrack, while Miley Cyrus, 31, won record of the year for her overall performance of “Flowers”.

U.S. singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers received the best alternative music album for “The Record”, best rock song for “Not Strong Enough”, best rock performance for “Not Strong Enough” and best pop/duo group performance for “Ghost In The Machine.” 

Best new artist went to R&B and pop singer Victoria Monet.

Swift, who is in the middle of her Eras tour, attended Sunday’s ceremony with six nominations, including best song and best record.

She received another award for best pop vocal album.

While accepting the award, the pop superstar announced that she will release her new studio album “The Tortured Poets Department” on April 19.

Swift’s previous three album of the year winners were “Fearless”, “1989” and “Folklore”.

She is re-recording her first six albums in order to get a grip on her rights.
