Speaking to Anadolu Agency(AA), Birol Guven said that artificial intelligence will affect every sector, not just cinema.

“Artificial intelligence will not take our job away from us, but someone who uses artificial intelligence well will take our job away,” he maintained.

Guven pointed out that those who are not interested in artificial intelligence will be left behind and out of the game in every sector.

“Cinema is perhaps the sector most interested in artificial intelligence. There is a lot to do on this subject. For our country, the train on artificial intelligence has not run away and is not even in the middle. If we say that the 21st century will be the century of Turks, we need to know artificial intelligence well. As the General Director of Cinema, I have set myself a goal. We have set ourselves the goal of being the state institution that will adapt to artificial intelligence the fastest. We will know artificial intelligence as much as we need to know,” he added.

Emphasizing that artificial intelligence is and will be used in all elements of cinema, Guven said that artificial intelligence will increase the thinking capacity of people and would push them to think out of the box.

Guven also stated that with the development of artificial intelligence, new job opportunities and creative ideas will emerge for people.

“There is a lot to be done about artificial intelligence. We are making a start here. We hope it will raise new questions. We will establish an artificial intelligence follow-up group with the crowd here. We will repeat it at the Beyoglu Culture Road Festival in September. We will see what has changed from this day to that day,” he added.

Other renowned names such as Emrah Kaya, Cenk Caner, Mustafa Civliz, Emre Yetim, Yusuf Firat Atmaca, Renan Bilek, Barıs Erdogan and Eylem Kaftan were among the speakers attending the event.
