Egypt approves ‘Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs’ exhibition to continue its world tour
The Egyptian government has approved the continuation of the ‘Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs’ exhibition, set to be showcased in Germany from July 13, 2024 to Jan. 6, 2025
The “Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs” exhibition received approval from the Egyptian Council of Ministers for an extension of its tour, allowing it to be showcased in Germany and Japan. The exhibition made its debut in Houston and San Francisco in the U.S., followed by a stop in Paris, France. Currently, it is on display in Sydney, Australia.
In addition, the Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, decided to increase the number of artifacts on display to 180 after Sennedjem’s wooden coffin was returned to Egypt.
The exhibition features a large number of ancient artifacts, including solid gold and silver jewelry, sculptures, amulets, masks and sarcophagi.
The exhibition was visited by around 820,000 people during its time in Paris.
