Hundreds of Dragon Ball fans pay heartfelt tribute to the late Akira Toriyama at Buenos Aires’ ‘Plaza del Obelisco’

Hundreds of Dragon Ball fans gathered on Sunday at “Plaza del Obelisco” in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to pay a heartfelt tribute to the late Akira Toriyama.

The unique event was organized to honor the legendary cartoonist who created the beloved manga series. 

Clad in costumes and adorned with typical elements from Toriyama’s iconic creation, fans assembled to perform a “Genkidama,” a special energy-gathering move from Dragon Ball. 

With hands raised, the emotional gathering of adults and children lasted for over an hour, marked by the singing of emblematic songs from the animated series.

The event, organized by passionate fans, aimed to celebrate Toriyama’s influence on their lives through Dragon Ball and pay homage to his extraordinary contribution to the world of manga and anime. 

The Plaza del Obelisco transformed into a lively space, resonating with the energy and spirit of Dragon Ball enthusiasts who came together to share their love for the iconic series and bid a final farewell to the visionary creator.

The diverse gathering showcased Dragon Ball’s cross-generational appeal, as adults and children participated in the heartfelt tribute.
